The Cathedral

The Mariae Aufnahme in den Himmel und St. Kassian Cathedral is the largest sacred building in the city of Brixen and episcopal church of the Roman Catholic diocese of Bozen -Brixen.
The first reference to the building is the Royal Deed of Donation from 901.

The Hofburg

The four-winged palatial building is located at the centre of the city of Brixen right next to the cathedral. Up until a couple of years ago, the Hofburg of Brixen was the permanent domicile of the bishop. Today it houses the Diocese Museum with its valuable artefacts, a significant nativity scene collection, and the diocese archives.
