Intestinal cleansing cure after Franz Xaver Mayr MD

F. X. MAYR was the inventor of the cure that bears his name.
The diagnostics, therapy and medical concepts named after him were revolutionary at the turn of the last century and today remain firm components of the purifying cure.
Many years of medical study and careful observation led Dr F. X. Mayr to the conclusion that only a healthy intestine represents the key to health. When treating his patients he concentrated on their digestive apparatus and around 1901 developed his so-called “milk & bread roll cure”.
This is a diet that is particularly suited to intestinal complaints. Stale dry rolls are administered daily, to be chewed 40 times per bite. Once the substance has liquefied, the mush is swallowed with a teaspoonful of milk or buttermilk. The temporary monotony of the food is an important factor in healing that after a time helps the organism to fully digest a diet of natural foodstuffs. The dry bread roll also has a training function to ensure thorough chewing and thus stimulate the important salivation that is the first stage of the digestion process.
In addition, 3-5 litres of still water, unsugared herbal teas or low-salt vegetable broth should be consumed each day.
