Fascial distortion model based on Typaldos
The fascial distortion model was developed by US emergency physician, Dr. Stephen Typaldos. He discovered that his patients had six markedly different ways of explaining or showing pain. Based on this, Typaldos developed a specific technique for each model in order to reposition the distorted connecting tissues (fascial bands). FDM is painful, yet highly effective.
It is used mainly for treating discomforts of the musculoskeletal apparatus, such as shoulder pain, back pain (hernia, arthrosis, lumbago, etc.), knee pain (torsion, ruptured cruciate ligaments, etc.), any type of sports-related injuries as well as numerous other painful ailments.
